Great novel! I read it once before but forgot how good it was! I'm really glad I reread it. Classic Meg Cabot at her best! |

Forgiving Ararat by Gita Nazareth |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
This is a historical and religious exploration wrapped up in a suspenseful murder mystery. It's about a woman who dies and struggles to unlock the mystery of her own murder from her place in the afterlife. I'm a publicist and fan of this book, and I'm looking forward to seeing if readers enjoy this book as much as I did. |

Save Karyn: One Shopaholic's Journey to Debt a by Karyn Bosnak |
|
Rating: 4 Stars |
The story of a shopaholic and how she gets in out of debt. Hilarious and touching. I especially enjoyed the last third of the novel that dealt with her creative solution to getting out of debt. Some cursing is in the book but not so much to be a distraction. |

A Road to Nowhere by Paul Robertson |
|
Rating: 3 Stars |
This book's story was interesting--several small mountain towns wrapped up in the controversy, politics and corruption of a new highway being forced into their communities. I found it hard to follow at times, though, since the story switches back and forth from character to character, and I sometimes wasn't too sure who was talking at first. Still, an interesting read for those interested in the subject. Also, it has a surprise ending. |

Great characters that I have fallen in love with since the very first book of the Redemption series, and a great story, so real with ups and downs but all trying to keep God in the center |

This is an excellent, thought provoking book. It has elements of suspense (the main character works for the CIA), romance, and a message that all life is precious to God. |

The Girl in the Green Sweater by Daniel Paisner |

Yet another great book about the Nazi Regime and Jews they held prisoner. Seems one could read more than enough about the subject, but not me! Each book on this travesty is unique and separate and this one is no exception. Don't miss it! |

Under the Cajun Moon by Mindy Starns Clark |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
Chloe Ledet is an international expert on manners and style. She is estranged from her parents; they are too busy with their restaurant business where he is a famous chef. Chloe is called home when her father is shot. When she has to do some business for her father, which involves following clues for a family secret recipe and treasure, she is framed for murder. She joins forces with her father’s friend’s son, Travis, to help clear her name and find the secrets.
A lot about her estranged parents is revealed to Chloe for the first time when she and Travis question people who know them. Her character growth is well developed. This inspirational novel is fast paced with plenty of action. The Cajun country setting provides a perfect backdrop for this romantic suspenseful story.

Deeper Water by Robert Whitlow |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
This author is new to me, and I've already bought the follow up to this book. It is an amazing legal drama. The main character is Tami, a young law student in Savannah. It's fascinating to watch her hold on to her Christian upbringing while trying to discover the truth in her first case. |

An Amish Christmas by Beth Wiseman, Kathleen Fuller, Barabara Cameron |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
This is a trilogy of three novellas by different authors, yet they overlap each other. The love in three different individuals are tempered by patience, betrayal, strong emotions, and loss. It also tells the story of how the Amish spend Christmas, which really intrigued me. I most impressed with the quality of their writing style. |

Suddenly Reunited by Loree Lough |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
I found this book by accident while looking for something else by Ms. Lough because after reading two of her more recent novels, I wanted to see what else she had written. SUDDENLY REUNITED is a fantastic story! I could see this as clearly as if it was on my TV set. I am going to keep an eye on this writer because she touches me like nobody has so far. |

The Good Samaritan by Robin Bayne |
|
Rating: 3 Stars |
This is a nice and warm little book (only 97 pages long). I had read other things by Ms. Bayne such as THE SCENT OF FALLING SNOW and liked them very much. My biggest complaint is that all of her stories are just too, too short, and I find myself wishing for more about the characters! |

Love Finds You in North Pole, Alaska by Loree Lough |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
LOVE FINDS YOU IN NORTH POLE, ALASKA made me feel like I was visiting Alaska with close friends. The descriptions of moose, the aurora borealis and the people in the cozy town of North Pole made this book hard to put down. I fell in love with the hard-nosed, soft-hearted hero along with the heroine. Loree writes characters who are strong, believable and full of faith. Can't wait for her next book to come out! |

Love's Rescue by Tammy Barley |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
One of the best historical romances I've read in a long, long time. The characters are strong and believable, the dialog realistic, and the era-facts are spot on. If this is an example of what Tammy can do on her first book, I can hardly wait to read the next two in her series! |

Love Finds You in Paradise, Pennsylvania by Loree Lough |

Love Finds You In North Pole, Alaska by Loree Lough |
|
Rating: 5 Stars |
I thought this was one of the best romance novels I've ever read. Loree Lough told a tender, funny, touching story that tweaked all of my emotions, and although this is "inspirational fiction," it was not even the slightest bit preachy. Bravo to Ms. Lough for that! I will add this to my keepers shelf! |

Love Finds You in Paradise, Pennsylvania by Loree Lough |

If I could give this one more than five stars, I would, if only for the part of the story that made me sob and blubber like a baby! I would recommend that she get on her editors about the typos and misspellings that slipped passed them, but even with the mistakes, I think that this is probably one of the best books I've read in a long time. |

Every year at this time, I become a TV addict because of all the Christmas movies on Hallmark and Lifetime. NORTH POLE, ALASKA made me wish it were a movie because I enjoyed every last word. I hope someday it will be a movie because it's just the kind of story I love to watch! |

Five stars are not enough! When I get a book like this I just want to share the story with everybody. I have told my book club members that we must must must read this book! If they make it into a movie I want to see Matthew McConaughey playing Bryce, because I think he would be hot, hot, hot in an eye patch! |

I am not overly fond of romance novels, so it's safe to say I'm not overly fond of inspirational romance novels. But I got NORTH POLE from a friend who insisted I would love it, and although I was skeptical, I read it anyway. I may not change my mind about other romance novels, but it changed my mind about Loree Lough's romance novels. This woman can write. She has a fan for life. |

I was so surprised to see my husband reading a novel that I had to read, too. That novel was LOVE FINDS YOU IN NORTH POLE, ALASKA by Loree Lough and I loved it! Tomorrow, we are going to Borders to buy up every copy of this that we can find so that we can give them to our college age granddaughters in their Christmas stockings. Clean, wholesome, funny, tear-jerker... I could go on but I think I am out of space. Loree Lough has two new fans at our house! |

Phantom Army of the Civil War by Frank Spaeth |

Rating: 3 Stars |
I found this book in the sale bin at Barnes and Noble and thought it would be a good exciting read. The ghost stories are mostly just people's wild imaginations and stories handed down from generation to generation, and so that was a disappointment, but I read the whole thing and would recommend it to others. |

Emily Ever After by Anne Dayton and May Vanderbilt |

Engaging book about a Christian girl fresh out of college making it in a NYC publishing company. The only thing I disliked was how poorly edited the book was when the girl's job was assistant to an editor who also had her edit a manuscript! |
