Hear His Call: Meeting God Amidst Creation by Jon Plunkett |
Rating: 5 Stars |
Absolute gem of a book. It provides inspiration for the weary, guidance for those losing their way, and it will take your mind away from the busy pace of life to remind you of the real reason you're here and how to enjoy the world around you.

Blue Moon by Linda Windsor |
Rating: 5 Stars |
This is the third installment in her series set in Mexico. The third member of the Madison family is a marine archeologist searching for a shipwreck. This is a fun read, reminiscent of the true Mexican experience. Windsor's characters make you feel like you're there. The story is good, with a decent plot and a great romance story. I really enjoyed it.

I haven't read since highschool and thought it was just as good as I remembered it.

The Assassins by Oliver North and Joe Musser |
Rating: 5 Stars |
My husband doesn't enjoy reading fiction as much as I do; however, we always read a Christian suspense-thriller aloud when we are vacationing in our 5th wheel trailer. We read MISSION COMPROMISED two vacations ago, THE JERICHO SANCTION during last years' vacation, and finished the trilogy this year.
Oliver North has a tendency to include a lot of unnecessary details in his novels, but they are all extremely good reads.
Be good stewards of God's money; borrow your books from the public library instead of buying them.

Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers |
Rating: 5 Stars |
One of the best books that I have ever read. It made me re-examine my life and know that we have to die to ourselves in order to be more like Christ. Francine Rivers is a truly gifted author.

Too Long A Stranger by Janette Oke |
Rating: 5 Stars |
I love all of Janette Oke's stories. I was amazed by this as the Mother had to put her daughter in a Private School because she lost her husband. She had to work hard and could not raise her daughter. It tells about the struggles of life and trying to get reacquainted after years apart. It shows a Mother's love and how it sometimes doesn't work the way we hope. It really helped me.

Charade by Gilbert Morris |
Rating: 5 Stars |
Wonderful! I felt like I was part of the story. It brings out the sheer humaness in all of us. I kept asking myself what I would have done in that same situation. The story taught me that I have so much to learn from God, and that learning to forgive can only come with the guidance of our heavenly Father.

Last Light by Terri Blackstock |
Rating: 5 Stars |
Wow! The world seems like it's coming to an end, and survival instincts kick in for many people. But others show their true love for God by vowing to treat others the way Jesus would want them to. When food supplies are running low, there's a murderer loose in your neighborhood, and it seems as if every person is for himself, what would you do? WWJD --- what would Jesus do?

This is one of the best books I've read in awhile. I already loved Francine's writing style, but in this book I loved how she told the story while working in the salvation story as well.

Beyond the Shadows by Robin Lee Hatcher |
Rating: 5 Stars |
I read this book in about 3 quick sittings. BEYOND THE SHADOWS would be especially meaningful to anyone who loves someone who suffers from an addiction (or struggles with an addiction themselves) but it is a compelling story whether that's your situation or not. And while the book deals with one particular addiction, alcoholism, there were so many parallels to other kinds of addictions and to the human struggle with sin in general, that I think anyone would come away inspired. And the cover and interior book design are just gorgeous!

This story was filled with intrigue, suspense, and amazing characters. From the first pages, it drew me in, not allowing me to put in down. It was such a page turner. If this debut book by Tamara is any indication, we are in store for many more page-turning adventures.
