Saturday Morning by Lauraine Snelling
Rating: 4 Stars
This is the type of book for anyone who not only believes in God, but also believes in using His help to create a better life for others. Following the struggles of J House and its inhabitants, the reader gains a need to help out others in the world, others who may not believe as strongly as they do.

A Moment of Weakness by Karen Kingsbury
Rating: 4 Stars
In her usual fashion, Kingsbury allows the reader to experience real life, while still learning to better understand just where strong faith can get you. Jade and Tanner are two individuals we can all relate to, and their challenges are also ones that many face --- not in the literal sense, but in the manner of faith. A great book!

Mary
The Peacemaker by Lori Copeland
Rating: 4 Stars
A well-written western novel, full of interesting, funny conversation. I recommend this book, which is the first of the series, "Men of the Saddle." Thanks, Lori Copeland, for a good read.

Chris
Babylon Rising by Tim LaHaye
Rating: 5 Stars
This book is like Indiana Jones for the Christian! Minus the hat and the whip, Michael Murphy is a modern-day hero. With sound Christian morals, action-packed adventure, sorrow over a loved one murdered, and archeological discoveries (more reminiscent of Indiana Jones), this book is a must-read for anyone!

Barbara DuPre
The Yada Yada Prayer Group Gets Tough by Neta Jackson
Rating: 5 Stars
This fourth book in the series is just as heart-changing as the first three. Jackson writes with humor and depth into the hearts of women of all nationalities. It's a life-changing series that I hope will continue with more books.

Motherless Daughters: The Legacy of Loss by Hope Edelman
Rating: 5 Stars
My best friend got me this book after I lost my mom. My mother's death was totally unexpected, and this book has helped me realize that my feelings and thoughts are similar to what many other women go through. I highly recommend this book for comfort.

The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
Rating: 5 Stars
THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET IN HEAVEN is one of the best books that I have read. It's a bit short, but like the saying goes, don't judge a book by its cover. This was very good and I highly recommend it.

Unspoken by Angela Hunt
Rating: 5 Stars
UNSPOKEN is honestly one of the best books I've ever read. Angela Hunt's tale about a "talking" gorilla and her teacher, Glee, is both inspirational and touching. I will remember the characters in this story, as well as the truths they learned, for a long, long time.

Linda
Halos by Kristen Heitzmann
Rating: 5 Stars
I loved the book. It's the story of a young woman who arrives in a small town where a lot of strange things happen to her. The people of the town seem to have a secret and she wants to find out what it is.

The Yada Yada Prayer Group by Neta Jackson
Rating: 5 Stars
This is the first in a series of books; I HIGHLY recommend it! It gives everyone something to think about and reflect upon in their own prayer life.

MLS
Colorado by Rosey Dow
Rating: 5 Stars
My son recently moved to Denver, so when I saw this book, COLORADO, I had to buy it. It consists of four stories involving cowboys, mysteries, and romance on the Colorado frontier. I'm looking for more books by Rosey Dow.

Shannon Moon Leonetti
The Poet of Tolstoy Park by Sonny Brewer
Rating: 4 Stars
This is a story about a man making choices when he thinks he only has one year to live. How would any of us live if we knew it was the last year of our life?

Deborah Fochler (fochler@erols.com)
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
Rating: 5 Stars
I read this earlier this year, but for some reason I decided to read it again. I was not disappointed; it is a very good story, the only problem being that I read SATURDAY MORNING first and found that while it is very good, it did not measure up to Ms. Snelling's story. These are two very good books, both of which are hard acts to follow.

Saturday Morning by Lauraine Snelling
Rating: 5 Stars
For some reason I missed this one, then I saw it mentioned on this website. It is possibly the best book I read this year. And I average 2 or 3 a week (sometimes more). As the stories started, I did not expect the ending --- this was wonderfully written and was a great read. Kudos to the author --- MORE please.....
