I have just finished reading And the Shofar Blew by Francine Rivers. I give it 5 stars. A minister battles for a Church, and forgets the souls within. Flawless human interaction as in all of Francine Rivers's books.

dsascott@telusplanet.net
Uprising by Erwin Raphael McManus. 5 stars.
Erwin writes from his heart and his life experiences. This is a must read for all those struggling with all of life's responsibilities; of living as a Christian and struggling with the many choices within our society. It's one of those "dangerous" books you can't put down.

Seizing Your Divine Moment by Erwin Raphael McManus. 5 stars.
"....when who God is so shapes who we are that it changes the way we live life." Seize your divine moment!

I, along with my husband, have really enjoyed the suspense books of Frank Peretti as well as the Left Behind series. We have been reading these books aloud to each other.

As for books that I would highly recommend to other female Christian readers, I would have to say my favorites have been the books by Janette Oke, starting with her Love Comes Softly series. That series starts with #1, Love Comes Softly. Her books are terrific.
